The preliminary Robofest competition was conducted in The City School International on 27th March after 10 hours of training given to selected students by Robotics experts using Lego Mindstorms EV3 program and kits. The ICT department played a vital role in organising the event and facilitating the students. A panel of six esteemed judges assembled in the school to select the right candidates among 9 teams. After a tight yet healthy competition, three expert teams were selected for National level competition.
In the National level competition against Ambassador School Dubai on 25th April, three outstanding teams got qualified for International level competition in Lawrence Technological University in the United States.
The competition will be held on 16th-18th May at the Lawrence Technological University in the United States.
Hearty congratulations to Ms. Jean Soney for the grand success of this event. TCSI wishes all the finalists to come out with flying colours in the final round to be held at Lawrence Technological University in the United States.
TCSI at the Robofest World Championship USA
Adam Noor from Year 7 flew to the US to represent TCSI at the ROBOFEST World Championship. We are proud to inform TCSI marks UAE at the RoboFest as it is the first time UAE is taking part in this event. TCSI is proud of Adam who took part at the World Championship and winning the first round at the event. He was awarded Achievement Certificate, Medals and he received a scholarship from the Lawrence Technological University USA. It is truly a proud moment for TCSI and we thank our students, parents, teachers, Robofest team and our leaders for their support and contributions.
