In order to promote reading from a young age the school organised school leader and older students to visit the Foundation Stage students, to read and enact famous story tales on 25th November. Senior members of staff dress up in fancy dress hats and read to a class from Foundation Stage. This promotes interest among the young students as they are keen to listen to a story from someone whom they do not always see. Year 2 and 3 students also visit the Foundation Stage students to read to them in small groups. By doing this activity the transition of Foundation Stage to Lower Primary is supported by allowing the students to build relationships and become familiar with the Primary students.
