Extra curricular activities

Parents, first and foremost, it is important to… understand and recognise the activities your child is naturally gravitating towards. It’s important also to ensure that your child likes what he or she is doing. I believe in exposing children to as many hobbies and extracurricular activities as possible. By Vishwanathan Anand

We at TCSI don’t just give priority to the academics but also encourage students in different extracurricular activities. The ECA program runs along in the timetable, a set time is scheduled for ECA for each class from year 3- year 6 and the higher grades follow the SALT program.

In ECA, students are engaged in craftwork, drawing, yoga, papercraft, painting, theater to name a few. These activities enhance different skills and hidden talents of our students. Children enjoy these classes as they are fun filled and skill based. Teachers plan different lessons as per the requirement and choice of the class.

ECA is a break from the normal core and non-core subject learning. This gives a platform for the students to work on DIY projects, the stuff they enjoy working on, the most interesting part of this session is, students share their opinion on the activities they look forward to doing during their ECA sessions.

The result of such programs in school creates artists, writers, poets, actors. It nurtures the talent in our students, who knows in future our kids may take up their hobbies as their career and excel in what ever they are good at.
