TCSI INCLUSION DEPARTMENT

The TCSI Inclusion Department is a vital part of the school community. Dedicated to ensure that all students, including Students of Determination, English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners, students with social, behavioral and psychological needs as well as gifted and talented students are provided with the necessary support and opportunities to succeed. The department follows a comprehensive policy on inclusion and a separate policy for the gifted and talented, both of which emphasize the importance of individualized  care, support and equal access to the curriculum.

The Inclusion Department operates through the TCSI Achievement Center – a dedicated space designed to facilitate student learning and well-being. The department sets specific goals and targets for students registered under its care, aiming to promote academic excellence and significant progress. Additionally, the department recognizes the importance of life skills, communication skills and social skills in students’ overall development and actively works towards meeting the UAE National Agenda’s provisions for students with individual needs.

The Inclusion Department acts as a bridge, fostering an inclusive environment throughout the school. Students of Determination and those who are gifted and talented are treated with respect, value and acceptance, ensuring they feel a sense of belonging within the school community. The commitment to inclusion extends to all stakeholders, including the management, school governors, teachers, staff, students and parents. Through innovative learning and training, dissemination of information and direct access to Inclusion specialists, the entire school community is engaged in promoting and implementing inclusion practices.

At TCSI, students experience happiness and inclusion, regardless of any challenges they may face. They never feel discriminated against or isolated but instead receive comprehensive support and encouragement to progress, improve and develop both academically and personally.

We also work in line with the Dubai Inclusive Policy Framework (2017) and incorporate good working practice with legislations such as:

Dubai Inclusive Framework 2017

Law No. (2) of 2014 Concerning Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the Emirate of Dubai
