October is marked as the ‘’Breast Cancer Awareness Month’’. Awareness helps to increase attention and support for the early detection and treatment of this disease.
Due to the current pandemic situation and social distancing to follow, this year we were not be able to host our last year’s initiative and successful “The Pink Ribbon Walk” however, we planned some virtual activities.
Virtual awareness sessions were scheduled on MS Teams for our Year 9, 10 & 11 girls by Dr. Maajitha Banu, our School’s Doctor, Dr. Madiha, representative from the Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital and a short informative session by our Year 10 student.
Staff and students were dressed in pink colour attire. Students attending distance learning on that day were also dressed in pink colour.
TCSI continues to join this mission to help educate women on the importance of early detection and save precious lives
